Sales & Leasing Consultant

HANOVER VOLKSWAGEN is currently seeking a Sales & Leasing Consultant!


The Sales Consultant is responsible for developing ongoing and long-term relationships with customers while being a product specialist advising customers on the right vehicle purchase. As a team player, the Sales Consultants strive to develop collaborative relationships throughout the dealership and provide exceptional customer service while promoting and selling our full range of vehicles.


Job Duties:

  • Responsible for forecasting New and Pre-owned Sales annually and monthly with the Sales Manager
  • Responsible for warmly endorsing the Business Office and Business Manager
  • Responsible for sitting with Sales Manager daily to review traffic and prospect activity
  • Responsible for New and Used Vehicle Lot Display
  • Responsible for laying out a daily to-do list, outlining their day for the Sales Manager
  • Obtaining Appraising Trade-ins
  • Attends all Training Initiatives
  • Attends regular Sales meetings
  • Ensures all vehicles sold are parked in the appropriate lot area
  • Ensures that all deals are complete and correct before sending to Business Manager
  • Talks to as many customers as possible before they leave the dealership
  • Helps Sales Manager Plan all marketing and advertising for both New and Used
  • Checks all deliveries for Customers, 2 hours prior to delivery time
  • Sells aged inventory first
  • Takes every prospect on a dealership tour during the sales process
  • Introduces all sold Customers to a Service Advisor at delivery
  • Puts every prospect in VIN Solutions system for follow-up
  • Asks for referrals regularly
  • Offers pick-up and delivery valet for Service clients
  • Books Service appointments for their customers as requested
  • All other duties as deemed necessary by General Sales Manager

Successful Candidates Possess:

  • Valid OMVIC certification
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ability to work in a team and possesses strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Self-motivation with an excellent work ethic
  • Ability to problem solve and high attention to detail
  • Loves a fast paced environment
  • Computer skills and understanding of technology
  • Experience with DMS (especially PBS) software is considered an asset

Position Status Disclosure:

  • This posting is for an existing position vacancy within the SALES Department.

Job Details:

  • This role is required on a FULL-TIME, PERMANENT basis
  • Comprehensive benefits package available
  • Work Location: On-site at HANOVER VOLKSWAGEN
  • The expected compensation range for this role is $65,000 - $100,000 /year (The range may vary based on experience and qualifications)

This compensation encompasses base salary and vacation pay as required under Ontario Regulation 476/24 made under the Employment Standards Act, 2000.
